Politics and communications

I was a political activist for 10 years, at the local, regional, national and international level, including as a candidate in two Westminster parliamentary elections.

This has given me excellent skills including political intelligence and strategic communications.

Climate action

My main interest is in the climate emergency.

According to the IPCC Special Report on Global Warming of 1.5 °C, we need "rapid, far-reaching and unprecedented changes in all aspects of society" in order to avoid climate catastrophe.

This has been the focus of much of my professional life.

LGBTIQA+ activism

I founded a campaign called Include Mx in November 2020.

Include Mx is a campaign which celebrates organisations that include the gender-neutral title Mx on their forms, and encourages other organisations to add Mx if they have a title field.

The campaign has been featured in Metro, the i newspaper and PinkNews, and has successfully encouraged Next, River Island and Wilko to add Mx to their forms.
